The objective is to achieve maximum voluntary actions to help achieve the goal Earthday 2010 "Billion acts of green" (1 billion shares through the Green World) for the fight against global warming and environmental protection.

Corporate Actions
Integrate the Earth Day banner on your website.
Intergrate the Earth Day logo on pay slips and to your mailings.
Edit corporate documentation in the colors of Earth Day.
Clad points of sale, service vehicles in the colors of the event.
Print the Earth Day logo on your packaging to show your green commitment.
Organize a lecture or a forum on environmental protection and sustainable development.
Invite the staff to sign a commitment for 5 actions to be implemented during Service Days after a training on sustainable development.
Support the creation or maintenance of a green space in your work venue or nearby.
Organize with staff members a cleaning operation near the workplace.
Award an environmental prize to a fellow worker.
Raise the awareness of the staff with regard to economical use of energy, paper, etc.
Encourage social commitment of fellow workers in actions of solidarity and fund raising, etc.
Lend support to an association for conducting a greenoriented action.
Sign a commitment during Earth Day regarding Environmental values and respect.
Organize drawing and photograph contests for staff children on environment protection.

Recycle and reuse whatever you can.
Save water by cutting down on consumption.
Replace light bulbs by low consumption units.
Prefer purchasing household apparatuses using the least amount of energy.
Turn off the TV or any other electronic device when they are not used (avoid screensaver mode).
Avoid using plastic bags.
Maintain a green space in your streets, schools…
Collective Actions
Raise awareness on air pollution (exhaust gases, waste) and noise pollution.
Build awareness about water and energy savings, promote cleanliness, waste management, and preserve natural resources.
Raise awareness on the risks in connection with the use of plastic bags.
Encourage your family and friend circle to support the National Charter for the environment and sustainable development.
Organize training and information workshops dealing with environment protection and ecological behaviors.
Organize a planting operation: trees, garden, green belt.
Preserve and refurbish a garden, a historical building or a school…
Action Day:
Write a letter to your elected representatives asking them to implement provisions allowing to protect the environment and its heritage.
Visit sites or infrastructures integrating an environmental interest (windmills, water treatment station…).
Elaborate your own environmental code or guide.
Undertake commitments on behalf of the environment with your family, your building, your neighbourhood…
Launch a project having a beneficial impact on the environment and the sustainable development.
